WrestleVotes also mentioned that Rollins’ name has not been coming up much internally in recent weeks, though a return is still expected before too long. Back on August 24, WrestleVotes had described the time off as a creative call rather than an injury, with the expectation being a short break rather than a prolonged one.
When Could Rollins Come Back?
There is no firm return date yet, and the lack of chatter around his name adds a layer of uncertainty about what WWE is waiting on. Even so, the expectation remains that Rollins will be back on WWE television relatively soon, even though his break has already run well past the original plan.
This kind of extended, unexplained gap fits a pattern WWE has leaned on before with top stars coming off a big program: keep the character off screen long enough to reset the story, then bring them back into a fresh angle rather than a direct rematch chase.
