In my view, Dallas walking away right now isn’t a sign that he’s out of options—it’s a conscious, necessary decision. His most recent run was never just another wrestling storyline; it was an intensely personal, heart-wrenching tribute to Windham Rotunda.
Stepping onto national television week after week to keep Bray’s creative vision alive through Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks demanded an immense emotional toll. He poured everything into honoring his brother’s legacy. Once WWE made the call to end that chapter and release the group, the emotional exhaustion had to be immense. In my opinion, taking time away right now isn’t giving up on wrestling—it’s simply taking time to decompress and heal.

Why Tony Khan and TNA Haven’t Picked Up the Phone Yet
For those holding out hope for a surprise debut at an upcoming pay-per-view, the latest reporting provides a blunt reality check:
- Zero In-Ring Momentum: Sapp reported that Dallas has no active wrestling plans that anyone in the industry has caught wind of.
- Old Rumors Aren’t Valid: While Dallas was once linked to talks of a startup wrestling promotion years ago, that concept involved Bray Wyatt while he was still alive and is not an active venture today.
- Focus on Appearances: Dallas has instead prioritized public signings and fan conventions—such as appearing under his real name, Taylor Rotunda, with his former stablemates at WrestleCon—keeping his public presence tied to fans rather than matches.
While former faction partners like Joe Gacy and Nikki Cross (now back to Nikki Storm) have already started taking wrestling dates again, Dallas is clearly operating on a different wavelength.
My Verdict: Don’t Count Him Out Forever
I don’t believe Bo Dallas is permanently done with pro wrestling. This is a man who went from an arrogant NXT Champion to the comedic peak of the B-Team, before pulling off one of the darkest, most compelling character reinventions as Uncle Howdy. His creative ceiling has always been underrated.
Right now, Taylor Rotunda is simply living on his own terms. Whether he eventually hangs up the boots for good or reemerges down the road with an entirely new creative spark, he has earned the right to step back. Until he decides he’s ready to step between the ropes again, fans shouldn’t expect a sudden return to the ring anytime soon.
