The Miz Was Basically His Training Wheels
Logan Paul’s official in-ring WWE debut came at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, where he teamed with The Miz to face Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio. WWE didn’t throw him into the ring without preparation. Producer Shane Helms, who had previously trained celebrities like Dennis Rodman and Johnny Knoxville for wrestling appearances, worked closely with Logan Paul and helped build the entire match step by step.
The Miz also played a major role in preparing Logan, guiding him through every little detail—from the timing of his chops to how he should sell the Skull-Crushing Finale. Most rookies don’t receive that level of personal guidance, but Logan made the most of the opportunity. His performance at WrestleMania 38 earned him the respect of a wrestling fanbase that has always been skeptical of celebrity performers. After the match, The Miz turned on Logan and attacked him, kicking off a rivalry between the two. That storyline eventually led to Logan Paul picking up his first singles victory in WWE just a few months later at SummerSlam.
The Injury That Almost Ended the Experiment Early

Instead, he was fully committed to the physical demands of the business.
That’s one of the biggest reasons why I started acknowledging Logan Paul as a legitimate professional wrestler.
Brass Knuckles Became His Signature Weapon — Literally
When Logan Paul defeated Rey Mysterio to win his first United States Championship at Crown Jewel 2023, a pair of brass knuckles played a key role in the finish. During the match, one of Logan’s allies secretly passed the brass knuckles to him, allowing him to use them to defeat Rey. It wasn’t just a one-time cheating spot, either. The brass knuckles soon became a regular part of Logan’s heel character.
Logan continued using the brass knuckles on several occasions, whether it was during his Royal Rumble United States Championship defense or later as part of his storyline with The Vision faction. It may seem like a small detail, but it shows how WWE fully embraced Logan Paul as a genuinely arrogant, rule-breaking heel. Instead of softening his mainstream celebrity image, the company leaned into making him the kind of villain fans genuinely loved to boo.
Joining The Vision Changed Everything
In late 2025, Logan Paul joined Paul Heyman’s faction, The Vision, and formed a tag team with Austin Theory. The partnership clicked almost immediately, and fans quickly embraced their chemistry. In March 2026, Logan Paul and Austin Theory defeated The Usos in a chaotic Street Fight at Madison Square Garden to capture the World Tag Team Championship. One of the most memorable moments of the match came when streamer IShowSpeed’s accidental interference influenced the outcome.
Later, Austin Theory said in an interview that Logan Paul’s rapid success in WWE had raised the bar for every other celebrity and internet personality hoping to enter professional wrestling. According to Theory, Logan had “made it harder for everybody” because both WWE and the fans now expect every internet celebrity to perform at the same high level inside the ring.
Logan Paul and Austin Theory successfully defended the World Tag Team Championship through WrestleMania 42 and beyond. In May 2026, they retained their titles against the returning Street Profits at Saturday Night’s Main Event. However, shortly after that match, Logan Paul suffered a serious torn tricep injury. WWE announced that the injury would keep him out of action for several months.
During Logan’s absence, Bron Breakker stepped into his place under the Freebird Rule, allowing the team’s title reign to continue. The situation was a reminder that no matter how much mainstream attention Logan Paul brings to WWE, he’s still subject to the same physical pain and injuries that every full-time professional wrestler has to endure.
Why It Actually Worked
Logan Paul’s WWE journey could have followed the same path as most celebrity crossovers—a few special appearances, a handful of matches, and then a quiet exit. Instead, he chose a completely different route.
